My Deepest Fear

"My deepest fear is not that I am inadequate.
My deepest fear is that I am POWERFUL beyond measure.

It is my LIGHT,
not my darkness that most frightens me.

I ask myself, Who am I to be
Brilliant, Gorgeous, Talented, Fabulous?

Actually, who am I NOT TO BE?

I am a CHILD OF GOD.

Me playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around Me.

I am meant to SHINE, as children do.

I was born to make manifest the GLORY OF GOD that is within ME.

It's not just in ME, it's in EVERYONE.

And as I let my own light SHINE,
I unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As I am liberated from my own fear,
My presence automatically liberates others."

Marianne Williamson

I heard this quote many years ago, and just heard it again, recently.
What an amazing reminder!

I AM A CHILD OF GOD and HE is within ME!

HE is within YOU!

How can we allow HIS LIGHT to shine through us more?

"You are the LIGHT of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put in under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:13-16

  1. Such a great reminder of an awesome truth - what a wonder to be a CHILD of God!

This passage from Matthew includes our church verse for 2011. What does it mean to be a light? It's an interesting question. The first thing that comes to my mind is that it's so very important to be a clean reflecting surface! God must do the work of polishing us until we reflect Him ever clearer.

Then, of course, I do believe that conquering fear and insecurity is very important. It's crucial to not listen to the many lies that the enemy would use to keep those lights "under a bushel"! We must learn to boast in Christ's power at work through us.

I continue to pray for God to reveal to me new ways in which to let HIS light shine through me.

    To HIS glory!

GOD BLESS, friend of mine! :)
