Write... Right Now!

Have you ever had to suddenly be "Creative"?

It's hard to be creative "ON DEMAND".

Some people can be funny,
"ON DEMAND",

or mean,
"ON DEMAND"

or bossy,
"ON DEMAND"

or even cute,
"ON DEMAND"
(my kids and yours)

but to be creative,
"ON DEMAND"
can be difficult!

I'm in San Clemente with a dear friend for the weekend-
we are here to write...
she needs to write a "MOPS" talk
and I wanted to put some time in "something" I'm working on...

BUT,

being creative "ON DEMAND"
isn't as easy as one may think...

it's actually quite
EXHAUSTING!

Maybe it's because we have been eating "crap" all day...
(can I say that in blogland? I'll say it now and apologize later)

Maybe it's all the fact that we have been sitting on our rears....
all day...

Maybe it's because I opened my BIG mouth on Facebook and told everyone I was
going somewhere to "write"
and now I feel
the "pressure" of having to
"produce"
something!

But, alas....it is not by MY power, but by HIS power.
I
don't have to be creative
"ON DEMAND"

because
MY GOD is ALL THINGS
"ON DEMAND".

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
Genesis 1:1

"For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Psalm 139:13-14

"Create in me a pure heart, Oh God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me."
Psalm 51:10

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Ephesians 2:10

  1. Hi Jan -

I noticed you on Beverly's blog tonight. Thank you so much for chiming in on her post. It is so encouraging to know that there are others who are bold for our Lord. He is so worthy to be loved, declared, and worshipped.

  2. Hi again Jan -

    Thank you.

I enjoyed this lively post and how you "ordered"
    it. The format is appealing.

I loved this, in particular, that you stated in your post, "But, alas....it is not by MY power, but by HIS power. I don't have to be creative
"ON DEMAND" because MY GOD is ALL THINGS
    "ON DEMAND"."

    Yes, Amen, Jan - indeed.

  3. Listen, Hot Tamale - "WE" have not been eating poorly. Some of us have pigged out on pasta (ME) - and coffee cappuccino drinks (that would ALSO be me) - but I do NOT consider that...well, OK, it's junk.

We have accomplished a lot this weekend though, haven't we? And God has shown up, as He always does! I might have trouble being creative "ON DEMAND" - but as you so very wisely said, "My God is all things, on demand." I loved that...

What would we do without His constant presence, and His abiding care? We would be set adrift in a terrible world, subject to sin's "demands." Praise Him for setting us free!

Love you so, buddy. Keep up your awesome work.

Another Thank YOU for your comment on my blog- GOD is SO GOOD, as you know, and HE provides just what I need just when I need it!

Blessings to you- by the way your "missing teeth" comment about Paul just had me cracking up!

  6. I SOOOO understand your post here. Writing is how I worship, and some days I want to hold up my hands and belt out the words, then there's the days I am fine humming the words.

Praying God worked His gift of creativity in and through you.
