Write... Right Now!

Have you ever had to suddenly be "Creative"?

It's hard to be creative "ON DEMAND".

Some people can be funny,

or mean,

or bossy,

or even cute,
(my kids and yours)

but to be creative,
can be difficult!

I'm in San Clemente with a dear friend for the weekend-
we are here to write...
she needs to write a "MOPS" talk
and I wanted to put some time in "something" I'm working on...

being creative "ON DEMAND"
isn't as easy as one may think...

it's actually quite

Maybe it's because we have been eating "crap" all day...
(can I say that in blogland? I'll say it now and apologize later)

Maybe it's all the fact that we have been sitting on our rears....
all day...

Maybe it's because I opened my BIG mouth on Facebook and told everyone I was
going somewhere to "write"
and now I feel
the "pressure" of having to

But, is not by MY power, but by HIS power.
don't have to be creative

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
Genesis 1:1

"For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Psalm 139:13-14

"Create in me a pure heart, Oh God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me."
Psalm 51:10

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Ephesians 2:10

  1. Hi Jan -

I noticed you on Beverly's blog tonight. Thank you so much for chiming in on her post. It is so encouraging to know that there are others who are bold for our Lord. He is so worthy to be loved, declared, and worshipped.

  2. Hi again Jan -

    Thank you.

I enjoyed this lively post and how you "ordered"
    it. The format is appealing.

I loved this, in particular, that you stated in your post, "But, is not by MY power, but by HIS power. I don't have to be creative
"ON DEMAND" because MY GOD is ALL THINGS
    "ON DEMAND"."

    Yes, Amen, Jan - indeed.

  3. Listen, Hot Tamale - "WE" have not been eating poorly. Some of us have pigged out on pasta (ME) - and coffee cappuccino drinks (that would ALSO be me) - but I do NOT consider that...well, OK, it's junk.

We have accomplished a lot this weekend though, haven't we? And God has shown up, as He always does! I might have trouble being creative "ON DEMAND" - but as you so very wisely said, "My God is all things, on demand." I loved that...

What would we do without His constant presence, and His abiding care? We would be set adrift in a terrible world, subject to sin's "demands." Praise Him for setting us free!

Love you so, buddy. Keep up your awesome work.

  4. Lion Eagle-
Thank you for your comments! I wanted to support Beverly's blog as she IS doing the right thing and we need to stand up for our sisters in Christ!

Another Thank YOU for your comment on my blog- GOD is SO GOOD, as you know, and HE provides just what I need just when I need it!

Blessings to you- by the way your "missing teeth" comment about Paul just had me cracking up!

  5. Alright- Coffee Cappuccino-
God HAS shown up and we are getting HIS work done, huh, sister!
What a blessing it has been to talk with you and work with you and laugh with you! This time away has been more than I could ask for!

Your talk is coming out amazing and you will continue to be a blessing but in a new venue! Go Girl!

  6. I SOOOO understand your post here. Writing is how I worship, and some days I want to hold up my hands and belt out the words, then there's the days I am fine humming the words.

Praying God worked His gift of creativity in and through you.

  7. Just found you on blogfrog. I'm a MOPS mom too. My mom and I are the mops directors for our mops in AK. :) I'm a follower now! Check me out at

  8. Joanne- don't know if you will ever see this response, but thank you for visiting and following! I admire the writing you are doing/have done and love how genuine you come across in your blog! Thank you for being such a wonderful model!

Candy- LOVE MOPS! Thank you for following- and also for supporting the MOPS in your area. Your service and time are a blessing for so many! Will go over and visit your blog!
