He Reigns

Well, after blogging about Jesus' Crucifixion, it is only right that I add His Resurrection!

Christ is who HE says he is because of the Resurrection.

He rose from the dead then, and continues to be
ALIVE...

NOW,

TODAY,

at this VERY moment!

My girlfriend shared this video with me about a painter who painted Christ's Resurrection...

it is breathtaking!

I sometimes need to be reminded that I have Christ's HOLY SPIRIT living
IN
me...

It is THAT power that gives me
strength when I feel like I've given everything I've got, but need to give
just a little more.

It is THAT power that gives me comfort
when I am missing my dad or feeling low.

It is THAT power that allows me to
love, when I'm too tired to.

It is THAT power that gives me the energy to serve my family and friends when my
fuel tank is on "empty".

It is THAT power that pushes me to take that one more step,
be a little nicer, more patient, more forgiving,
more like CHRIST...

Thank you, LORD, for that power!

"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but of
POWER, LOVE and
SOUND MIND!"
1Timothy 1:7

What has the Lord given you POWER to do in your life?

  1. Jan I am laughing so much, it is as if you read my thoughts today as felt so powerless, and here you are writing about the ressurection power. Now I can repent and begin to affirm myself that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is the same Spirit that lives in me.
    Thanks for the reminder

  2. Oh, D-
    THANK YOU and, AMEN, Sister!
I don't know if you ever feel this way, but I am usually reminding or writing to myself!
YOU are POWERFUL because you have access to the GREATEST POWER- our LORD and SAVIOR who conquered death!
    Love you!

  3. As you well know, the Lord is working in this area of my life. Mostly, He's teaching me to understand that HE reigns!!

And that HIS power is what enables me to let go of things - and to yield my control to Him. To allow Him to work in my life and the lives of my family. To let Him...

Thank you for this wonderful message - and for reminding me yet again of our Lord and Savior - the sacrificial Lamb who arose in POWER and conquered death! He now sits on the throne as the LION of the tribe of Judah - and He sits on the throne of my heart.

    GOD BLESS, dear friend!
