EVERYTHING

EVERYTHING

What if God asked you for everything?

"EVERYTHING?",
you ask.

Yes,
everything.

Guess what?
He wants it!

In Mary DeMuth's new book, due to be released in October,
she helps us as believers SEE,
see that yes,

God

does

want

EVERYTHING.

He wants ALL of us.

Everything that we think,
everything that we feel,
everything that we do.

He wants our minds,
our hearts
and our actions to be
HIS.

Curious?
(I hope so!)

Here is a quote to entice you!

I am one of 100 very blessed people.
I have NO idea why I was chosen,
but I was!
I get to be a very special part of a very special team:
Mary's Launch Team.

So, as I read through the chapters I will share little nuggets
from this pot o' gold!

Back to the question:
What if God asked YOU for everything?

What would you struggle to give Him?

I do struggle, right this very minute to give Him ALL of me,
 thankfully,
I've seen it all too clearly through reading this book.

I've given Him my faith,
my relationships,
my family,
and my life,
but not ME,
my heart and soul-
in my entirety...

But the Lord calls us to-
He calls ME to.

“Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives”
Gal. 5:25 nlt.

In Chapter 3 Mary writes:
"He wants all of us, all the time, our minds and hearts deeply engaged with His so we will joyfully follow Him toward every single adventure He plans for us."

I yearn to joyfully follow Him toward every single adventure He plans for me,
how about you?

Thoughts?

Hope you are having an absolutely wonderful week!

Love Powered Parenting

I'm super excited that we started this bible study last night!

1 video,
4 couples,
8 books,
11 children,
&
15 individuals
to be blessed!

We watched our first video lesson tonight with Tom and Chaundel.
So insightful
and
very practical!

Week 1: The Power of Priorities
Key Verse: "Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ"
Galatians 6:2

Focus: The need for accountability in order to live out our priorities.

There are kinds of accountability we all need:

To God,
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad."
2Corinthians 5:10

to others
"Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ."
Galatians 6:2

&
to ourselves.
"Be very careful, then, how you live- not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."
Ephesians 5:15-16

Maybe there's a reason for some accountability!

Do you have a friend that you can share happiness and tears with regarding your children?
If not, can I be someone who can pray for you?

Remember,
God created us to be in community!
You are NOT in this alone!

Do you have a friend that you can share happiness and tears with regarding your children?
If not, can I be someone who can pray for you?

Have a wonderful weekend!

The Merging of the Many...

I have NO excuse.

I'm all over the place!
You would think because it is summer, that I would be writing and posting.

I have not been doing either.

My problem is FOCUS.
Or rather, the LACK thereof.

Here is what lack of focus looks like....

Frustrating, isn't it!

The problem is that I am so
"MULTIFACETED "
(ha ha)
that I tend to not focus on just ONE of the things I love,
but on ALL of them.

The problem is that
when that happens I get overwhelmed
which means I don't do anything!

SO,
I thought it was time to really work on this blog thing.
I'm going to make this blog about ALL of the things I love.
My God- My FAITH
My Crazy FAMILY
and
FITNESS.
(no Hot Tamales, tho)

I have other blogs, you know,
about my kids and our dog,
about myself/writing,
my dad,
about fitness,
like 6 of them, seriously!

It's time I merge them all together.
I'm not Cybil anymore.
Those of you who grew up in the 80's may remember
the movie Cybil.
She had like, 8 personalities and was....
you guessed it,
coo-coo!

Anyhow,
I'm still a little coo-coo,
 but-
I will hopefully educate, entertain and encourage you on this journey as I focus on
my
Faith
Family
and my
Fitness!

Much better, but I'm not smiling-
I was worried about someone thinking I'm a weirdo taking pics in the locker room!

REMEMBER:
No matter how crazy, out-of focus you are or can be:

You are valuable because you exist. Not because of what you do or what you have done, but simply because you are.
 –Max Lucado

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33
